Dell UltraSharp U2410 - is it worth the price?

Mine got delivered today :D

Shame my 2407 died as I'd love to compare them side by side. But in contrast to my Studio XPS with the backlit led screen, and the screen I use at work (can't recall model or make for that matter) this is immense. So bright and rich :)
 
Impressed so far. Hard to say how much of that is relative though.
It certainly seems very bright and rich. Better than my lappy and that always seemed very good when looking at it straight on when comparing to my 2407.
Hopefully I'll be able to fix the 2407 and compare side by side.

Avatar in full screen 1080p looks immense, but then again it did on my last screen hehe.

I'll try some various games later.

Anyone used the component input much? seems to not like my ps3 using 1080p, not sure whether that is down to the budget multi-cable I'm using though. Will grab a HDMI at some point anyway.
 
i was always curious as to how the ps3 in 1080p would run on it, with it being 16:10 would you get black bars or would it stretch the image?
 
Think you can choose between. When I tried it earlier it was stretching I guess (unless it was clever enough to maybe fill in the borders with something so it was genuine 16:10 per pixel?)
I've seen options in the screen OSD to set stretch and such, not sure if it applies on the component or not. Haven't really fiddled about yet :)
