I need to upgrade my AV receiver and thinking of going for a Denon. What's the key to their model numbers? I can't seem to figure it out. Anyone know?

Am I right in thinking Denon is probably a nice upgrade over an Onkyo unit? Or could you recommend anything else? (I've always bypassed Yamaha and Sony, and Marantz and Arcam etc are silly money)
My current amp doesn't pass Dolby Vision, so need that
The source is a Nvidia Shield so only a single HDMI output.

Oh, OK. This I didn't know. I'll check the TV specs later and have a look. I assume it's done via HDMI and optical is still limited to 5.1?
So I've done some reading and earc would be the answer to my problems, but the Onkyo isn't earc compatible. So back to replacing the amp again

I'd guess the Onkyo is approx 5-6 years old now. I'm sure I bought that when I bought a 3D TV to find I had to upgrade the amp.
Seems every time I buy a TV, an amp is required too
Richer Sounds has the 65 CS for £1300 VIP price. The HDR & OLED is a massive upgrade. I'd say it's a better step forward than 1080 to 2160
