I genuinely don't. I'm a sucker for word of mouth, perhaps which might be an indirect link to advertising but I'll always do my own research to ensure I get the best for my money. Even if it's a sweet brand, I'll grab cheaper supermarket equivalents because well, they're generally just the same. Not because I've seen a Gorilla playing drums. I use my own experience, research and try things before I buy them.
Advertising is everywhere in modern life though, regardless of whether you pay attention to it or not.
While you might not go out and buy a bar of Dairy Milk because you saw an advert for it with a Gorilla playing the Drums.... You might buy a can of Ronseal because it's been advertised more so than it's rivals and through association and it's campaigns has become a household name.
