Starts tonight. Channel 4. 9pm.

Four part series. Tonights one is The Assassin in which he will apparently turn a member of the public into an assassin and make them shoot a celebrity target.

Sounds uh... very Derren Brownish, wish he would go back to his older stuff. I'll probably still enjoy it though as I always do.

Here's some footage that was shot but won't make it to the final show.

Kinda seems a bit.. fake with the "Gas, gas, I need gas!"..

I don't really believe in Derren Brown, I think a lot of it is set ups and stooges. That being said, his shows are usually good entertainment so I'll probably tune in.

Quite enjoyed that.

I'd gone off Derren brown a bit but I thought that was good. Didn't think the guy was going to do it cause he took ages to go into marksman mode.

I don't believe anything Derren Brown does any more. Especially after the aeroplane one. Only caught the end of this but I think it's fake!

So the audience were unaware, and when someone on stage gets shot there are no shireks or panic. I don't believe it.

Yeah I think he has become less an less believable, purely now just becoming a showman to make tv series' for Channel 4.

No doubt you are right, if more than anything because of something I picked up on that Derren mentioned that he has never done so before... the Hypnotism Act of 1952.

That implies that you can't just have a live event and then have somebody hypnotised during it without proper authorisation for the venue and the audience fully aware.

I think only Derren Brown can do it, and he's sworn to only use his powers for good.

Thought it was pretty poor really, I didn't believe it that much nor did I believe that people weren't in on it.

I doubt I'll watch the other ones. I think that his time has been.

Ahh the airplane hoax, that was just cringe-worthy.

I've hated him with a passion since the lottery hoax though. That was just so bad it stopped being entertaining.
