Desert/Jungle strike style games

Hi,

Anyone know of any newer games similar to Jungle/Desert/Soviet strike etc?

Looking around and the only thing I've found is Thunder Wolves.

Is it any good?

Renegade Ops is what you need.

Don't know about Thunder Wolves.

Yeah looking at videos I've played Renegade Ops a while a go now. Thunder Wolves is ok, it's like serious sam meets helicopters. No real skill needed, just blow the hell out of everything and fire flares.

I miss desert strike, such a good game. Would be nice to have a new version of that on PC but keep the style and view of the old game.

I have been tinkering with programming for years but never got into it properly purely because of not having a project to do that was big enough.

Wonder if I could create a game based from the old ones with a pre-existing engine :S

Just completed Thunder Wolves, maybe 1-2 hours of game play. Good fun for a little game but I won't be going back to it, no real challenge there at all.
