damn real life getting in the way of Destiny.
what are peoples thoughts on the raid drops of the new Raid.
I'm amazed at the positive improvement to be honest. It appears that the first 2 drops give you the possibility of armor, and they appear to be aware of what you've been given before.
So far I've done these first 2 stages 10 times and got 4 pieces of raid armor out of it, one character has 2 pieces, and no duplicates. Others seem to be reporting the same as well ?
The third and final drop is for defeating crota, and appears to be a weapons drop. I've done this twice so far on the same character and got 2 different weapons.
Combined with the hot fix that upped the base value of light for then new raid armor to 30, and dropping the helmet in normal mode, I couldn't be happier drop wise. I had cited a token system as a solution to the VOG drops, but this is just as good IMO.
If only the raid was a bit longer ...

I've done the first bits leading up to Crota twice and got 1 chest, 1 boots and 2 gloves so far.
Quite happy with it so far, just need more shards
Yes, agreed, if only it was a bit longer. I liked the corridor section with the endless thralls. It would've been cool if that had carried on a lot further, so it really felt like a hard slog...just not in complete darkenss and a weight modifier.

Got everything bar the helmet on my titan, had the gauntlets twice and the chest piece twice, dismantled the strength versions. Need a better set of boots and chest piece with auto rifle ammo perk!
This is running with two titans, and I think the drop system probably remembers what you've been given on a per character basis.
Hopefully I'll manage to get a decent helmet then I can use the Crest of Alpha Lupi/Armamentarium chest armour. I really thought it would be another vault of glass all over again but I'm really happy the armour actually drops more often now, plus you can dismantle duplicates for the radiant shards
Weapons wise I've had the rocket launcher twice (again one on each titan) and the black hammer sniper rifle.

You'll likely get a piece of armor on your next run.
First go round on my titan I got nothing, did it again this week and got a piece of armor.I'm in the same boat as you on my primary character (1 piece from 4 drops) - I've only fared better on other characters. But my success on other characters shows you don't have to go that long before you get a drop.

I cant make any other time to finish the raid off for definite so I'm doing that with a friend from another clan tonight currently there is myself and 4 others from 'the blood pack'
so I have one slot available if either of you want to jump in??

I'm up for running Urzok / Nightfall / Weekly on my Titan Alt, along with running Vog Normal for Shards / Energies if anyone is up for it? Available from 1800.
Are we finishing Crota off tonight? I can't make 19:30 but will be on around 8 ish i hope.
I've tried it a few times with some PUGs and think I know the tactics well, just haven't killed him yet (almost had him last night but a few glitches stopped us).
How have you done it 10 times? 3 characters a week is only 6, only way I can think is you have ranked up another at least another 2 characters to run CE raid
Drops have been good so far from CE, I haven't beaten Crota yet so only got the drops / chests for the first bits but already have gauntlets, chest and boots for my Warlock. Also got 13 energies and 17 shards, hoping to run at least the first bit a second time this weekend for some more shards and a helmet.
I don't know about being longer though, maybe the teams I have run it with have taken too long but seems a good run takes about as long as VoG.
We can start gathering at 1930, shout be ready by 2000 when everyone is on.
Thor is confident we can finish it in one run. Let's see how that goes
Yup, one run, Crota dead, I get Black Hammer.. That's how I'm expecting it to go anyway
