I'd like to take a spot for the trials but it depends on when you guys are running it? Daytime or late at night is best for me.

if you could nail down a time for Sunday that would be great. I'm glad you chose Sunday as the weather is supposed to be crap here and on Saturday it's meant to be nice so I'll go out on that day.

Ok well I'm available all day from around 1pm on Sunday.
So why don't we just say a 1pm start?


I've updated the lists based on when people have said they would be available - I'm OK to run multiple different things with various characters

Level 33 Hunter is fine - I did 2x 8-0 runs when I wasn't as good with Level 33 Hunter. If you're going to win/lose a fight, it's probably going to be 1 sided 90% of the time so I didn't find the level mattered.
Most games were won/lost by big mistakes more than anything. Golden gun is super useful too and can win a round easily on it's own

Also good for the others. IB I'm not that good at, I wouldn't say I'm rubbish as I can sometimes top the board but I tend to have off days. I'd say I'm average, so if that's ok I'm up for Iron Banner.

Nice one. I'll get some practise in on skirmish before the trials.

I've got that annoying bounty for thorn to do with the void damage anyway.

Of course - don't have to be the destroyer of worlds to join! lol.

Any sort of co-ordinated team effort is going to yield very good results a lot of the time.

I'm just going to play it as often as possible and not arrange any other specific events for next week. So whenever other people are not in a pre-arranged event then everyone is welcome to join in and team up

lol yeah that bounty sucked. I didn't find a void weapon besides a shotgun for ages.
When I actually got void primary, secondary and heavy though I got it in no time as every kill counted.
I found it a struggle with just shotgun as I'd run out of ammo and next 5-6 kills didn't count, but the deaths did. 2 or 3 slots with void makes it go a lot faster (even it the primary void auto rifle is horrible for pvp)

Sounds good to me.

Rooster - you were doing fine when we ran last time. A few off games but then you came back and smashed up everything hulk style. I am broadly the same tbh although I am weirdly much more consistent on my hunter than my Warlock despite a similar play style (blink jump run and gun).

it's all about sticking close together but not too close that you can all be wiped out by a super or grenade spam.

grenades are lethal if you know where they are if we all time or grenades right they are dead. Try to go for grenades which seek enemies for maximum effect.

Have burn on so if i hit an enemy with a nade it damages them over time like thorn.

If your pushing it's best to flank them from 2/3 directions but you must push together at the same time for it to work.

Oh and revives are essential but only go for a revive if it's safe to do so. If someone is down try and get them back up ASAP before the enemy pushes you.

Not going to be able to IB evening sessions much unlike last time, so I'll just be relying on the bounties and sneaking in the odd game mornings/lunchtimes. Might just take two chars to rank 3.

It isn't the most fun way to do the bounty but the easiest way I found to do it was using a void sniper and finding high traffic zones of maps so kills are high but sitting as far away as possible so your deaths are low.

Hiding around high traffic corners with a void shotty also works (although I felt terrible doing it so went back to punishing myself with Atheon's Epilogue instead...).

Nice to see you back :) VoG should be a good bit of fun.

May be a bit late from work, things are a bit crazy but I'll keep you guys posted.

nothing wrong with using shotguns in pvp

i would use

epilogue or crota HG
void shotty
truth

and stay in a pack at the back to steal kills with the HG or epilogue
use shotty in close combat situations
whenever you hear heavy ammo incoming run to it and camp

the truth is the best PVP launcher in the game bar none, look at some youtube videos to see how to use it effectively which is basically stand far away aim and fire as soon as you hear the beep

I tried that too :D I got more kills with a shottie but also got more deaths whereas using the sniper got me less kills it got me more points per match.

Got bored with TDB but as I had alreay paid for HoW and getting much better reviews thought I would come back. Not sure if simply because of a break or HoW but I am enjoying Destiny again.

VoG should be fun though I may be a little rusty on the mechanics of some of the fights.

My trouble with that is that I've got the bounty on my hunter and I've always tended to fire the shotgun once then finish them with blink strike.

I'm trying to reprogram my muscle memory to fire the shotty twice and it's proving difficult. :D
