It's 6+ wins for etheric light from ToO I think, 5 wins gets you the armor.

But yea it's a big pain in the ass to obtain Etheric Light if you aren't already lvl 34 or pr0 at PvP with a 365 Thorn/Mythoclast.

Thanks OweO, Rooster and Greboth for last nights VoG HM and CE NM run.

My 2 mates haven't had much chance to get into raids but they both enjoyed it. I just keep telling them to join the forum like so I don't have to arrange things for them.

BoomStomp is actually on but think he only posted once or twice.

Will be running IB all week with OCUK, mates and 1 or 2 people from work - well over 6 people interested so my plan is to basically just start open parties/fireteams and without arranging anything specific, people can just jump in/out at their leisure.

If there are loads on at once then just form 2 fireteams. If 8, 2 teams of 4, etc.

Looking forward to it.

The grace period cut off point for my OU degree is tonight at midnight (yes, I should have done it at the weekend instead of playing destiny and drinking...) but I've managed to go un-harassed at work today and have squeezed in 6-7 hours so far working on it!
So evening might be free after all to clear up any last things before the reset/IB.


Also, will deff want to run 3x NF's ASAP so anyone not already in a group for Tuesday give me a shout.

More than happy to run more raids with the group. CE HM next, I can run sword on at least two of my characters* so we can repeat from Crota CP to try and get the primaries more than once).

*Hunter and Warlock aren't a problem. Never done it on my Titan but should be similar to my warlock method.

Np mate, considering they were new(ish) at the raids they got through them both without any problem. I don't have my VoG armour anymore but as it can all be upgraded I am tempted to get try and get a full set again.

I have not sorted out any NF group so happy to run some on Tuesday. I only have 2 characters high enough to run the NF though so will be reserve for the third NF. I don't want to take the spot if someone needs to run it but happy to run if you can't get a replacement for me.

Edit: CE HM would be good as wouldn't mind some of the weapons. Having never used the sword I want to try it but as so much of the fight hinges on the sword bearer it is a daunting prospect.
 
OK champion - I'll stick you down for 2 and see who else fancies it.

So for a group to do NFs on Tuesday (assume around 7pm?, but I can do any time from 5.30)

1. falleneden (3 times)
2. greeboth (2 times)
3. Paladin (2 times)

2. ? (1 time)
3. ? (1 time)

I don't mind just running it twice, but if there are 2 others who want to do 1 run then stick your name down and I'll run the 3.



CE HM sounds good to me too - my mates can run again on Sunday, otherwise I'm fine to attempt it whenever with others. We'll al lbe on Iron Banner a lot but don't mind switching to a raid at some point.

I got nothing from last nights Raids so no further forward with regards to some decent primaries with element damage
 
7pm is good for me, should give me time to get home and grab some food. As I said I am happy to run it 3 times with you :) I just don't want to take a spot when I get nothing if someone else can run it and get a reward.

You should just jump straight on into Trials. You may be pleasantly surprised. All you have to lose is 100 glimmer (and maybe a little bit of dignity) :)

I don't need dignity, I have plenty of glimmer... might give it a go. Is it basically Iron Banner PvP?
 
It's a different gamemode, IB is control. Trials is 3v3 elimination, like Skirmish but it's first to 5 rounds and a round is won when one side eliminates all members on the other team (with revives). You need to get X number of wins on a single Trials Passage to get rewards, 3 losses and you're out.

Honestly it isn't bad at all. Just stick to the 3 hits per down and there isn't much that can go wrong that is in your control. As a hunter it is best to go invisible before going up and then blink striking after dropping the sword on the first down (this prevents you getting hit too badly by the boomers).

Warlocks and Titans need to be more careful on the approach, but it isn't too difficult to get the timing down - just remember to run away after the first down!

I would suggest running it as a 33 hunter to begin with though. You can then treat it like normal mode with only two swords being required (11 R2 slams to be precise).

The strongest bit of advice I can give is - don't go for the extra hit unless you know 100% you are going to get away with it!

Also on HM you will need some way of health re-gen as there is no chalice.

EDIT: Yup those times are good for me Mid_gen. Rooster also has a maxed Gjally now. :) I'm happy to give the 35 a crack after but it depends on the structure of the 34 (assuming the 32 is just this weeks 34 then we can either kill the Eye / break detain or just smash him from the doorway to reduce the time required to clear.

I'll be 34 soon as the reset happens so we can start on the 34. I'm guessing it'll be the Cabal flying douchebag who should be easy enough to melt.

We'll see what the 35 modifier roll is. If it's something straightforward like a solar or void burn we could give it a crack. Otherwise I should be able to get warlock to 34 as well so 2x 34?

What time are you running the nightfalls tomorrow because I have three to run myself. If you let me know I'll make sure I'm on or you can put up a little list in case a third wants to join.

Just gonna do the weeklies tonight I think and maybe a little key farming.

Yeah, think this is best, we have a decent message thread on PSN too so can just ask there, or just join a fireteam, I'm going to be running IB hard want all 3 of my characters to Lv5 this time.

Also up for some NF tomorrow (need 1 more today but not sure I will get too it), can do 2/3 times 9pm Tuesday.

Got a couple of friends requests and have accepted

Can't do a raid at 11 tonight as it's a little late! If one gets going earlier count me in
