DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI-D onboard audio not working

Friend of mine bought this board for his PC which I helped him to build, all went well, nice and fast with an AMD64 4000+, 2GB GeIL, BFG 7800GT, Enermax 370W PSU. Ran 3D Mark 05 and got 7k.

We didn't have a lot of time so we only managed to get it built + all drivers installed and a single run of 3D Mark done before I had to go.

Been speaking to him on MSN tonight and he says he's getting no audio.

Using the onboard sound on the mobo, the module is correctly inserted, drivers are installed and when he plays audio the nVidia panel shows the audio is playing on the display. Problem is, nothing comes out the ports on the back. Speakers are known working, tried every combination of socket/volume, 2 different drivers (CD and Latest from Internet) and still nothing.

Is there something obvious we're missing? A jumper on the mobo perhaps? I was thinking maybe it had defaulted to S/PDIF only but we can't find any digital related options.

One thing I do remember is some boards needing the -5v for the onboard audio, but his Enermax PSU doesn't have this rail. Anyone with this PSU got onboard audio working?

Any ideas please, he's going to contact DFI soon as we've pretty much run out of ideas :(

edit: only just noticed the dedicated Lanparty thread :o

Searched through it and couldn't find anything, though I should have posted this in there so sorry about that...

There are a set of jumpers on the Karajan Audio card, and you need to make sure the jumpers are correctly setup on there making sure the R+L audio are bridged.

Not sure what the pin numbers are being as I have never looked at the Karajan audio module being as I have an X-Fi but the same problem happended with me and a DFI NF2 LP. Just needed to set the jumpers up correctly.

Went over there today and that's exactly the configuration that worked, thanks :)

Not sure why they weren't installed in the factory, I couldn't see anything listed about it in the manual either
