Does anybody know of a cooler/fan that can replace the dfi one and still clear the pci slot graphics card as the stock heatsink/fan is very noisy :o

I've seen pics of a Zalman passive bent to hell to clear the graphics card.

EDIT: I'm good to you.

Minstadave step up.

Take a look on DFI Street in the modification section, there is a big thread about the Jing Ting cooler(silly name).

I have one coming from America next week and it looks pretty impressive.

Hang on have found a link to a review

I guess they should become available soon in this country if they are as good as they look.

Clever, how much was that from the US.

£22 plus carriage but I bought some other stuff which we cant get in the UK as well so as to make it worth while.

Whether they are any good is a different matter lol.

lol Minstadave is a complete savage, that pic always makes me gasp in awe

Jing Ting cooler looks well cool though.. hopefully we'll see it for sale over here soon.

OC definately need to get some of these bad boys in! My epox fan has started making an intermittent rattling and its rather annoying

I take it aside from the Jing Ting and butchering a passive hs theres no other way of changing the mobos fan atm?

I think mine looks neater :p

im going to buy one of those today, i have a few questions first.

1: how easy was it to bend those fins
2: how is the cooling idle/max load compaired to the unpassive crap default fan on the dfi lp nf4 sli-dr board.
3: would bending still make it fit with a x1800XT in there as you all know there massive lol

and erm anything else you think i need to know ?

Wooohoooo i just bought this instead :

Fairly easy - they are really soft metal. I use one on dfi expert but didnt need to bend the pins. I have to use an 80mm fan blowing over it though. This keeps it at 30 degrees but when 5v the fan it goes up to 40
