Hey guys

I recently got myself a Netgear DG834GT but can't seem to get it to connect. My provider is Wanadoo ADSL broadband. I can get the router's web interface etc. on my LAN but can't get it to connect to the WWW. I am relatively new to ADSL, but what details would I need to get it to connect?

Many thanks in advance
Luke

and don't forget your DNS servers as well or you won't be doing much browsing. :)

logon to your router and go to ADSL settings set the VPI 0 and VCI 38, Multiplexing Method VC-Based

then go to Basic settings and enter your login and password which is provided by your ISP (login=email address most of the time)
make sure Encapsulation is set to PPPOA and you can either enter the DNS server IP's on the router or on your local PC.

If you are still not sure use the setup wizard. ;)

P.s. you can always check the router status in Maintenance and you will see if you connected or not.

the username for wanadoo is everything after the @ symbol of your email address followed by @fs.

For example if your email address was [email protected] then your username would be smith.fsnet.co.uk@fs

If that don't work try putting @bb4.freeserve.co.uk instead of @fs at the end of your username

Hope that helps
Dave

Thanks guys, ill try it with @fs at the end since thats the only one i havent tried and all the others don't work.
