Diablo 3 - Check you region!!

Mine was Euro by default but it started me on the US servers for the initial game. Obviously I raged upon not having any characters, and then finding my progress happily sitting on the US server...

Some people were having issues with not the game not recognising the full edition after using a starter key where the regions are not the same (US starter, EU standard).

Changing the password should be enough to force the region to update:

Actually it is quite a good unique new feature that allows you to play on three different server datacenters around the world.

Usually this sort of game would be region locked. So it is a feature not a drawback. It was your own fault for not checking the options.

Mine also defaulted to US but i just changed it to eu.

Got the disk version and automatically set to Europe.

Maybe its something to do with if you have the beta still installed and thats set to America.

Actually my first game someone in my party said they were from Japan!

I feel your pain man, the first day i got on abit before my 2 friends and was happy killing stuff, they came online and i couldnt add them. I just put it down as a bug, then it said the servers were coming down in 10 minutes, and i said to them oh the server is coming down, but they didnt see the message, i thought it was odd but carried on, only when the server went down and they were still playing i realised i was on the US servers I got to around level 10 aswell..

I downloaded the EU client from blizzard and had uninstalled the beta client last week.
