Hi all. I have an old Delphi DS150e (clone), I use it with an MS Surface and an XP VM. It was fine for my older cars, and for my friends cars when they wanted to scan them.
I have an R53 Mini and have a specific tool for that (Creator C40), that's a simple handheld device but it does the Mini specific stuff nicely.

I have a 2017 Civic now, and it's newer than the my software. I want a new scan tool that can read everything should any faults arise. It recently threw an error with the ACC / radar, the error has gone but I'd like to know what it thought was wrong.

I've heard that Autel and Topdon are recommended. A friend has a Foxwell NT680 PRO that reads everything on his MK10 Civic. Ideally looking to cover 2017+ FIATs too. Anyone with experience of these, and which are better?

Probably out of the two mentioned, Autel would be the choice, however its a yearly subscription iirc

I'm using Thinkdiag diagzone atm, for my needs its fine as i have a small bodyshop, use for airbags, headlamp programming etc.

I would suggest looking at Otofix D1. They use Autel software, I have recently bought the tool and very happy with it. Came with 2 year software update free and then it's $216 yearly.

I've been looking at the d1 lite which looks brilliant for the money.
Can't see much difference between D1 and D1 lite to be fair. D1 advertise to pass through Renault security access and I have got Renault Megane so that was the reason I went with D1. There are couple of modules I can't get access for my Renault Megane. I have contacted the tech and uploaded the data log, just waiting for there reply.
