My mum does
Its bloody frustrating.
She favours my little brother with every thing but she blatantly denies it.

My brother just needs to call out and asked her to get him something and she comes running.
When i ask for her to bring me something even if its important i always get told to get it my self.
My brother does nothing physical at all, he doesn't play sport and hes never had any real injuries but as soon as he says "my neck hurts" or "my backs sore" she books him into the Chiropractor straight away
Ive played sport my entire life and racked up a huge list of injuries my neck and hip are both really messed up because of it. So much so that i cant move or read because of the sheer pain my neck causes with head aches and migraines. Ive asked literally 100s of times to book me into to a chiropractor because its so unbearable and she just brushes it off and gets angry at me for even suggesting it and wasting money. I haven't been in over a year and a half and ive had 2 bad hits to my neck and head in that time
If i can find the pain killers(she puts them all in her bag for when she goes to work  ) and i ask her to get me her bag because i cant find it i get yelled at bad enough anyone would think i had burnt the house down.
My brother on the other hand gets head and neck massages with some pain killing cream as well as her finding the pain killers.
My brother used to wake her up at rediculace hours in the night to go turn his light off once her gets into bed(he was 15 then and is now 16) and she would do it even at like 2 or 3 AM
If i woke her for even the smallest little question again i get yelled at for waking her up.
If something gets broken or goes wrong around the house or get eaten or goes missing im the first one to get the blame

Anyone else here have a parent that favours there brothers or sister?
And im not imagining it because my older brother and sister have commented a lot about how she always favours my younger brother and how he gets away with almost everything
Im sick of it

Yup, I'm their fave :D

in all seriousness though, have you ever tried talking about it?

Lots of times but she just denies she does it :(

Yes, both of my sisters for different reasons. I'm ok with it though, it's the way life is. Your brother really takes the **** though.

Yep I know how u feel! I am the oldest and my sister who is in the middle, was very spoilt by my gran when she was a baby (maybe i wasnt because im not biologically her grandaughter) she was always referred to as the pretty baby, and she could do anything and get away with it!

So now at 14 she is rebellious, has no fear, if she wants something she gets it, if mum says no she does it anyway, for exmaple she has about 7 piercings that my muj has said no, and shes gone and done them (mum doesnt know about her belly yet) I caught her smoking the other week, and she just swears at everything! Her and my mum dont get on at all to say the least!

What does your dad do?

My dad doesnt live with us. He lives 500kms away.
He split up with mum when i was about 2 and i dont really see him all that much.

Me and my sister are more or less treated the same/
Try talking to her but you said that doesnt work :(

Fortunately my parents were equally harsh and favourable to both my brother and myself, which kept us both in line and well pretty much meant we grew up to be fairly respectable! My parents are more leniant with me now though, but thats because of what I have had to go through in the last few years!

I allways take somthing someone tells me with a pinch of salt, especially if there under 25, but if youve described is spot on and the complete picture, move out and disown your mother.

My dad seems to compare every single thing i do to my older brother. For example, in my GCSEs i got 6 Bs and 8 Cs and a D, a total of 15 GCSEs! but my dad says that i 'failed' because i didn't get any A's or A*s, while my brother got 5 A's. I seriously hate my dad for this and other reasons. He has never in my entire life encouraged me or said 'well done', just criticised and shouted at me. But i have self motivation :p

I have talked (or shouted) to my dad about all this, but he denies it and blames everything on me.

Get used to it mate, comes with the territory of being the oldest!!

Remember as well that you can get up to all sorts of antics while she's got her eye on her darling younger child ;)
