Sorry for the carp pic but I am away at the moment. I sold my venerable Xantia 1.8lx for a £50 profit (paid £500, sold for 550 :D ) and I was looking for something a little bit different. I saw a 1996 P reg Mazda Xedos 6 auto 2.0 V6 24v for sale, all the electric kit (windows, sunroof, aircon, abs, seats, mirrors etc), full leather and wood interior and the 4 speed dual mode auto box, done a 140K miles with a complete history and all mots etc. Just been serviced inc new cam belt, trans oil change, new pads and discs front & back. Also it has 2 month old 17in alloys and new 235/50x17tyres. Mot till april 2008 and a months tax :( .
All for the princely sum of £600, the alloys and tyres must be worth £400.
Insurance isn't too bad for a grp 16 motor, £286 comp with the post office (I am 39 with 5 years no claims.)

Pick it up on thursday when I return home from Austria.

All the BMW fanboys will be on some claiming it is will be nowhere near as good as a Beamer!! :D

Ps, just for the BMw fan boys, in the hotel cap
r park this morning was a BMW M6 convertible on german plates, it looked gorgeous

the bay of E, if you search for xedos6 completed yesterday you will see the car and more pics. Not sure if ebay links are allowed so I won't post one but can if a higher power confirms that Ebay links are ok.

Whilst its a lot of car for the money, the xedos range is generally a cheap car, they werent very popular, hence the residuals are crap.

Not overly reliable in my experience, but i have only every come across uber cheapy dogs :p

Just note that the engine only comes alive over 4000rpm, and hits max power at 6000rpm (max torque is 5000rpm) - so how it will handle will depend on when the box changes for you. But it will last forever.

I had a look at a Xedos6 a few years ago. Very nice motor. Ended up buying an E30 instead. The E30 was more fun to drive, but a complete dog for reliability. Chances are that the Xedos would have been a great car to keep for a while.
Still gets my thumbs up!

Great result, for 100 quid more than I pay for a set of decent tyres!

Well done.

Could you have posted a smaller image though?

Poor German M6 driver having to put up with our idea of autobahns!!!

At the moment I am in St Wolfgang, Austria, at the Landhaus Zu Appesbach hotel, in the carpark is 6 Austrian registered A4, A6 and A8s, a Porsche Carrera Gt ;) , M6 convertible  , and a Citreon Xantia  I saw an Aston Martin Vantage yesterday. The austrians love their cars.
