Difference between Skills and Abilties in job interview

I have a job interview tomorrow and they've recommend I have a think about my different Skills and Abilities. Aren't these the same thing? What's different between them?
 
skills are those things you have learned as a result of experience, abilities are those skills inherent in you and not learned.

thats how i have approached it anyway!
 
Agree with bandit, skills are new tools in your bag, abilities are the tools you were born with.

eg - ability: to learn, skill: programming with VB
