Difference between these optical cables?

Marketing nonsense I suppose. £1 extra will not buy a better cable. You could pay £10-£15, and all you are really paying for is a nicer looking cable.
 
All digital cables give the exact same picture and sound quality, you might get a nicer plug or sleeving, but how it effects you will be the same right across the board.

In the name of getting a cable with a bit better build I've ended up with a few nightmares, specifically "fancy" braided cables that keep trying to curl up and refuse to take a corner with any dignity.
