Well i was watching an entertainmant show a month or so ago and i watch'd an article on Digital 3D movies being made for the cinema and how they would "revolutionise cinema viewing as we know it" and i thought to myself ah yes what a load of bull it didnt take off the first time round never mind this time when people arnt as easily pleased.
One plus side to the way its made is no stupid red and green glasses to seperate the layers for the eyes just polarized lenses and a speciel layer on layer strobe effect to seperate the left and right view's to give the 3D effect. Sounds good in theory but it rarely comes to the hype does it.
this was the last i thought about this untill this morning when i read an article saying that disney are getting ready to release a third installmant of the toy story, erm story lol! Now this isnt my flavour of film though dont get me wrong when i was a wee nipper i did enjoy the escapades of buzz lightyear, the thing that intrested me about the article was the fact that Disney are adopting this Digital 3D tech for the new movie.
So my question is, with a company as big as Disney who to be fair have had box office success escape them over the last few years but is still a very high profile and still finnancialy successfull company adopting this tech do you think there is a chance that this may actually do what it says and give the movie goer the closest thing to a truly 3D experiance without actually sitting in the same room as the action happens around them?
