Hey guys,

Right the time has come to begin some xmas shopping and I want to get a digital photo frame for my old man.

I've seen this one and think it's rather good:

toshiba journe air1000 (about £150)

But....being a total novice on these I'm not sure what I could get for the money...I definitely want it to have video playback and be a decent brand but other than that.. I've heard some of them have freeview? :D

Any advice greatly appreciated!!

Cheers ;)

Haha I knoooow. But he has everything! Literally. He's got a 52" with sky plus HD so this would just be a little toy.. I just think it would be fun if it had freeview too. He'd bounce around like a little kid when he opened it! :)

Really? I suppose you know him better than i... :p

Still, isn't a bit of a hassle? I assume it would need to be connected to an Aerial of some sort.

Instead of a photo-rip off-frame why don't you look at something like the Archos 5, depending on your budget. Nice little gadget.

That does look awesome. Although the 5" screen would be a bit small and reading more into the 7" there seem to be a lot of bad reviews! :( Plus, he has an iphone and I can't quite work out what features he would use that an iphone doesnt really have. Thanks though, thought you were onto a winner there ;) Any other suggestions?
