Very well, in fact I preferred Rome. The games uses the same engine so they are graphically very similar.

In terms of gameplay - it's Total War they don't really change. The expansion is very difficult and well worth a try if you get bored of the original campaign.

Highly recommended!

Thanks, will be purchasing tonight. I'll add it to the growing list of games i've bought and not yet got round to playing!

And finish gta 4.

Hmmm tempted to grab this and MII TW for £4.99 - although I've never used D2D - is it easy enough to do - would have preferred it to be another steam offer if I'm honest

Got the original rome but not the expansion. Been playing Empire: TW lately and enjoying it a lot.

Got to agree that Rome is the best by far. Med2 really didn't come close.

Direct2Drive is great. £2.50 is a good price to try the service out at so you know what it's like

For people who don't know or are curious, you can set the resolution to 1920x1080 (or desired res) by going to the:-

Preferences.txt file in the preferences folder. Obviously in the Rome - Total War directory.

use_widescreen = true and then change both battle resolution and stragety resolution to your desired resolution.
