I agree that they both have a slightly different image and one is more prestigous than the other. .

Not even really seeing that, i suppose the Bentley badge is a little more impressive than the Mercedes one, but anybody in the know would see them as parallel's in terms of prestige and image i would have thought...

They are great cars (Porsche)i just tried all the ones i like, me wife has got a Cayenne, i seem to go in phases, i quite like Pans but not at 100k, i cant see 100k of value in any Porsche at the moment.

Merc CL, i dont know, it hasnt got the sense of occasion of a Bentley, when i look at a CL i get a flash back to a 30k E class. All that is personal of course and not to detract from an AMG CL, which i must admit i havent driven, but that dosent matter because it will just drive just like any other high performance Merc.

Iv been in plenty of new shape S class's and i dont think the interior is a patch on a Bentley.

I rang up Jaguar today and asked to borrow a new XJ which they agreed to until they mentioned all they had was a diesel, i was going to see if that grew on me, but driving a diesel one is a waste of breath so i duffed that.

So all i dont know, i'l have a think.

The CL55 AMG and a GT are completely different cars for completely different markets.

There are people on PH debating which is the better car and describing why they went with what they did out of the two and the other competition.

You are coming along as a poster Joshy, they read well and are seemingly well thought out, you just have really bad opinions. Maybe when you are a bit more learned, a few years in the future, the elite club will come a'callin.

Nah, I don't want to be included with the "Elites". I like being an out spoken outsider. I get more lulz this way.

And what I meant by my comments was that I didn't see the type of person who was actively looking to buy a Conti GT would really be willing to consider anything but a Conti GT.
