My op was paraphrased and taking quotes from the actual article. How is that inaccurate?

The fact that the playgroup was set up to facilitate integration makes it all the more laughable really.

Labour support and defends pro-discrimination but yet so many of their voters are white males.

I wish people would see the light of day and be rid of Labour once and for all. I'm not sure I like lib dems much either but I don't despise them.

Pakistani is a nationality too but call someone a **** and you're a racist.

I did a quick google search and it says they were asked for their nationality not race maybe the metro or poster was wrong.

Pakistani is a nationality, you are correct. However the term '****' is a derogatory term used against Southern Asians in general as as such can be deemed racist because of that and the negative way in which it is used.

I understand the intention, but by not including the indigenous culture how does that foster cross-cultural relationships?

Surely it is reinforcing cultural segregation and isolation and not encouraging integration by doing this.

Personally this is a well intentioned but ultimately counter productive way to encourage 'cross-cultural' integration. People don't seem to realise that integration and multicultural communities that the integration of migrant populations is a two way street, not only does the immigrant need to integrated, but the local community also need to integrate, this is cross-cultural interaction, not creating artificial barriers in the name of 'integration'

Not sure why everyone is laughing at the OP, as seen from a post on the last page, the playgroup is setup to encourage "multiculturalism" and then it turns away two parents from the very community it wants to create closer ties with.

Discrimination is discrimination no matter which way you cut it and this is discriminatory. If they want to enable the people that they think are disadvantaged then they need to give those people equality through positive actions - eg language skills, groups etc not negative actions on everyone else. If you want to interview for the post of Supreme Physics Blackhole Expert for the world you would be not doing your job if you had the interviews on the 10th floor of a building which only had stairs - you would also not be doing your job if you held it in a building with a lift and only gave the passkey to people in wheelchairs with quirky Yankie accents.

This whole PC and victimisation crap drives me mad, and when it happens in reverse this certainly does provide some ironic amusement.

Far too many people from other race/nationalities/religions expect to be catered for in ridiculous ways. Our country, our rules - we do far too much already.
