DNS confusion

This is going to be a bit vague, but please help me if you can. I have bought an italian top level domain from netim.eu (I've got hundreds of UK ones)
I need to change the nameservers, but can't in the NS part of the registrar's control panel (button greyed out), but when the domain is set up as an alias in my hosting server CP, email works on the domain.

However, I have managed to delete the NS entries under 'Advanced dns' and enter my own. I've allso delete the two MX entries and the A name entry as I presume the nameserver would forward everything to my hosting server.

Now thew email doesn't work, (presumably because I deleted the MX entries, but I am a bit out of my depth with this, so wonder if anybody can help.

I'm asking here before going back to the registrar, as English is not their best language!

If you cannot change the nameservers for the domain you will need to manually insert the records into the registrars nameserver.

It sounds like you've just deleted the registrars own entries for your domain, you will need to insert an A record pointing at your actual server plus MX record for the servers which handle your mail (this info should be avialable from your hosting provider)
