Hi all

At my dads workplace we are using BT business with an Asus DSL AC52U thingy
Internet download/upload speeds are good according to speedtest 70/20

However internet page loading is taking the **** a bit as it is very slow

In order to change the DNS for the computers on the domain do I need to simply change the one on the server and the clients will update automatically? If so how do I do this?

Thanks

Computers on the domain will be pointing to the Windows DNS server, do not change this, you want to change the forwarders within the DNS on the server.

Does your Dad not have an I.T person/company looking after the servers?

Me :D

It's a small business only 5 clients, it's just an i5 rig/16GB RAM with a few HDDs in there and running Windows server 2012 R2

Might not be the cause of your problem though, I would try changing the dns servers on one computer first to see if that actually changes the performance before doing it for the whole domain.
What he said. Just because the Internet is speed testing well it doesn't mean there isn't a problem elsewhere on the connection / firewall / network. What troubleshooting have you done.

And if you must change the forwarders try and use a UK based dns server, the usual Google ones aren't very good at being region specific and often route to the US.
