Do different kinds of drink get you different kinds of drunk?

I find that:

Vodka: for some reason this seems to be slow-release for me. I can be happily drinking away and feel fine but there comes a point that, even if I stopped drinking, an hour later I'd be quite drunk. The problem is that you don't think like that when you're out so can end up very drunk from it. It's a few years since I last drank it. If you are drinking untill 2am and then decide you have had enough and stop drinking, it's not good to get more and more drunk untill 3-3:30am

Lager then wine: I fall for this one all too often. If I start off on lager, even if it's only 3-4 and then later change to wine, the next day I just can't get going and I can't shake it off all day. I'm just slow/tired even if I don't feel rough.

Wine: for me, red wine agrees with me the most. I like the strength of it so I don't end up drinking pints of it but it's not too strong such as spirits where I can end up going too far. Also I find that unless I cross the line, it doesn't affect me too much the next day.

tbh it's rare that I'm drunk these days. Even though I like having a drink too often, it's not a silly amount. Working different shifts, I haven't touched a drop in over a year when I'm in work the next morning. Getting too old for that:o
