Hi guys,
Just got:
MSI Neo2 P35 motherboard
Q6600 CPU
4GB RAM
for xmas and thought that I would just be able to use my existing PSU which is a Fortron Blue Storm II FSP500-60GLN (rated at 500watts).
On the motherboard, the cpu power connector is an 8 pin 12volt connector whereas the connector from my psu is a 4pin, or 2x 6pin connectors (which say pci-e on them).
Do I need an adapter/new psu/ok to plug 4pin into 8 pin socket!
Need some help with this,
Thanks
Robin

You can use your existing PSU, the 4 pin cable should plug into 1 side of the 8 pin block leaving 4 pins empty, check the mobo manual and or the shape of the pins on the cable compared with the mobo to establish which block of 4 to plug into.
