do i need k-lite codec pack with mpc-hc/vlc?

While I do agree with 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' if I don't need it I'd rather not have it on my laptop (wait until later when my next thread is 'buggar can't play any avi's' what have I done 
)
Thanks mrk, but tbh as long as I can see and hear it thats good enough for me, i'm not an audiophile or whatever the word is (someone who seeks audio perfection or close to it)
bledd, cheers for the site, but I need a bit of assistance if you don't mind, I click on 'media player classic home cinema' on the left, click todays release at the top, I see ones a complete package with and without installer and ones just the mpc.exe, which one would I need?

A couple of things about media player classic home cinema from this site, the first one I would imagine this is because its a daily build? If I have a video playing and I set mpc to minimal so I only see the video and not the toolbar at the top, when I maximize a video then double click on it to make it smaller again it doesn't go back to the minimal setting, instead it goes back to maximum?
The other thing and I havn't been able to do this even with the official version you get from sourceforge, the option 'remember file position' is greyed out.
This is no biggy but as were on the subject I thought i'd ask.

Cheers mrk, but still no different, I've even reinstalled and still the same, if I have a video as minimal, then maximize it, when I minimize it the caption and menu bar at the top is there, I then have to press 3, then 1 to get it back to minimal.
Oh well, I'll wait until the next build, maybe that will work for me.

Burn mpc to disc and beat them with it until they install it, it may result in death by mpc but they deserve it. lol
