I have a 2500k @ 4.5 GHz, 4GB RAM and a 2GB MSI 6950. I can push that 2500k to 5GHz, but am happy atm with 4.5 1.25v (showing a little lower for some reason).

I have pushed this to 5GHz, and a little more speed doesn't give much more heat. But, 4.5 seems fast enough for me. Can anyone give me a good reason to push this chip further? 5GHz is very doable

At 5GHz it was hitting 1.44v and 80 degrees (worst case scenario). Not that much more heat considering voltage and clock speed.

4.5 Seems more than enough to be honest, just want to know I can get 5GHz stable if I want to.

Thanks, that's what I wanted to hear :) 4.5GHz at way under 1.35v seems like a great clock to me, but you always want to see what you can get :)

Exactly, such a simple process it's a crime not to do it. Chip is set at 4.5GHz, 1.235 volts, and I cant see that there's anything wrong with hat for regular use.
