The 9400F is usually a lot cheaper if you don't care for the IGP. I don't know if the price cuts are hitting F models first or not, but the gulf is huge most places, though I've seen a few 9100 and 9400 within £15 of the F.

I'm looking at an Pre Owned ACER pre built system, for an HTPC in lounge.

i5 9400, 8GB DDR4, 1TB HDD. Decent case. £230.

Trying to work out if decent price and if Intel have anything newer.

What do you guys think ?

Add up the price of all the parts that make this system and work out if it seems cheap from that

Looking at used prices,

CPU £ 100
Mem £ 30
HDD £ 20
Case £ 40
Mobo £ 40
PSU £20

It has Wifi built in, plus DVDRW, probably worth a few quid too.

~£250

Seem fair?

So saving 20 quid ish and all built with warranty. You think CPU be good for a while for gaming etc ?
