I find the thing that slows me down when working on one of our cars at home is getting up on axle stands. Once Iv got it up in place I am fairly quick.
I do get access to the ramps at work if I need to on a Friday afternoon. But I usually have plans at that time. When I have used them it certainly speeds up the process.
I’ve just been hacksawing through a wishbone bush so yeah, you could say it’s taken a while the other side will be done tomorrow!
The sawing will take the same amount of time again (maybe longer if my wrists are dead after today) but getting to that part of the process should take less time now that I’ve figured out the best way to get there.
@sigma Get yourself a reciprocating saw. I got one from Lidl for £29.99 and it came with several types blades and has a 3 year warranty. It was purchased for something else but has saved me a great deal of hacksawing while working on the car and has been one of my best buys over the past year or so.
I need to clean (maybe replace) a throttle body. Apparently electronic TB issues are becoming more common now as the early ones are starting to clog up or wear out :/
I saw there are some places charging £200+ to do this. You should see the price of a new one though
