Do you find it weird talking to people with the same name?

I find it a bit weird as I've only met 2 people with my name. At work it was quite weird as we'd be asked by name if we had any input and the 2 of us would start talking at once. Though, mainly the managers fault as she never really looks at people when she's talking to them.

At work there are 3 "Lees" which is confusing so it's now Girly Leigh, Chef Lee and Big Boss Lee whenever anyone describes one.
 
Yes its weird if you meet someone with the same name and then someone else shouts out that name and you both look around and then at each other...awkward.

Probably why I ignore shouting, makes me laugh when someone shouts 'oi you' in a busy street and 20 people turn to look. Chances are it isn't me, so I don't react. Unless I recognise the voice of course.

Only odd thing is introducing yourself on a phone call - "Hi Dave, this is Dave", I'm sure there must be a surreal red dwarf reference in there.
 
One of my best friends is called Jordan. I will only call him by his surname aha. Other mates call him Jordi and I'm Jordan, works for me.
 
Hardly ever meet anyone with my surname (if anyone acctually!) and everyone I meet with my First name seems to be a ****.
 
I got a friend whose name is Nicole. I am Niki.

If we are speaking, and somebody says, listen Nik/c, it is a bit weird.

Or on the phone.

"Hi Nik, its Nic"
"Hi Nic, how are you"

etc. :P

I can't stand other people called Pete! They are always doing it wrong and its a race between us for who can get introduced as Pete and not Peter (as Peter is not my name, not even my own mother calls me Peter).

Thankfully my surname is sort of unique (though double barrelled is cheating)
 
Nope I personally work with two other people who have the same Christian name and Surname as me. Causes no end of confusion when people email the wrong one!
 
I have loads of friends that are also Ryan.

Gets confusing when there are more than one of us in a group though?

"Oi Ryan!"

"Yes?""Yes?"

"Not you..."

"Well, which one then?"
 
Doesn't really bother me, I don't see why it would anyway.

The only thing that annoys me is when I am in the same room as another person with my name and I always end up responding to my name being shouted out when I wasn't the one being targeted.

In one of my classes at college there is two pairs of Jack and Thomas that sit next to each other. Always caused confusion when the teacher was facing the board and called out one of them to answer a question. In the end the teacher resorted to referring to one pair by their normal names and the other pair by "other [name]" or "[name] over there". Funny how they know she is referring specifically to them as well.
