Do you find rain relaxing?

There is a smell from it though, almost like fauna. It tends to come when you get one of those heavy rains that makes the trees and plants look really vibrant afterwards.

I was being a bit of a dick with the quotes. :)

However there are smells from it, there's two that I like. The one you mentioned and the other is the strange smell you get from roads/pavements when they've been rained on, especially if they were hot.

Delightful.

The only thing I don't like about it is the occasional crunch if I go outside without looking where I'm going. Poor Snails :(

I make a point of looking where I'm walking 99% of the time. I went outside for a cigarette earlier and when I came back in and shut the door there was a crunching noise as I was shutting it. A snail had crawled onto the bottom frame of the door :(

When I'm inside, yes, as it gives me pleasure knowing that the people outside are being soaked. But yeah, it is relaxing I have to admit.

I like a little rain when I'm inside, but hate the sound when I'm trying to go to sleep.

Thunder always scares the **** outta me when I'm trying to get to sleep, but when awake and safe, I like violent weather :)

Yes, especially sitting under glass like in a conservatory, makes it sound louder.

I also like looking at it fall on grass for some reason, like it is a big green sponge.

I Love heavy rain. I was coming back from a bike ride yesterday and it started bucketing, I couldn't stop smiling! Just the noise, the feel... It's great to be in it for short periods, and then watch it from behind a window afterwards (if it's too cold then not so much, but at he moment when it's reasonably warm it's great).

As I rode back through the estate the rain was generating a mist of spray near the ground that just made the whole place look like it should be inhabited by fairies - it was lovely.

So I suppose when I'm outside it's not so much relaxing as interesting and exhilarating (miserable if it's cold though), but inside yes it can be very relaxing if I allow myself to just watch and listen. Soothingly repetitive.
