Do you get disheartened when you die lots of times?

Not really - at least, not as much or as frequently as I know others do.
As an example in 20min 4on4 Quakeworld games against elite clans I've died over 100 times on several occasions. It doesn't really upset me.

To be honest I got more disheartened/frustrated from narrow losses against clans that we feel like we should be beating.
 
If you struggle to get kills and you havnt already played the single player spend some time on it, it will help.

As for caring about kill/death yea its nice to have awsome stats but its more important to enjoy the game chuck a gnade randomly you might hit something!

If you find you are dieing a lot find another server maybe your gameplay style is suited to a certain game type try them all and focus on one to improve on it then move to others.

Find a gun you can control well and use it to death! no point switching between guns when you cant control the simple ones.

Dont let what ppl say ingame effect you they are just annoyed you stopped their kill streak or something lol

It's normal. Totally normal, but you should learn to deal with it. I used to actually be afraid of player vs. player games because I couldn't take losing, but now I'm getting into it and finding I'm actually pretty damn good! :)
 
When I played UT2k3 instagib ctf it used to drive me nuts when in clan games the opponents would chase me rather than defend or attack the flag. Still don't understand it, they'd always lose because they wouldn't actually be playing the game, so my team mates would have an easier time getting the flag, but why pick on me :P

Anyone can use the tracer dart..... just only engineers have the rockets that can lock onto them.

He's using assault kit with one of the all-kit weapons, so he's got c4 instead of a noob-tube.
 
Single player

It can get very frustrating in games where you constantly die at the same point again and again. If it happens i normally just get more determined to complete it.

If the game is one ive completed before i sometimes go **** this and abandon the game.

Multi player

The only times i rage,

  • when my team is totally and utterly useless and we are up against a far superior team.
  • when im playing totally rubbish and cant hit the side of a barn at 10 paces, this is normally a sine to goto bed.

What really annoys me which is very bad in L4D2, are people who rage without even trying. The number of times my team has failed on the first round but managed to come back and win has proved its not worth giving up without a fight.
 
rarely in Team Fortress i get about 200 kills to about 90 deaths, as a soldier with the black box :D, favourite map is 2fort, however if the team is rubbish i give them light encouragement, the only thing is frustrating is when they opposing team build Sentries on your own base anyone find sentries too powerful, the only way is a heavy with a medic "uber charge".
 
Not really.

It's mostly "controllable". I do badly at the beginning of a session before I've warmed up, and I'll do badly at the end of a session when I'm starting to get bored/tired. If my team is crap I won't rage about it. I just quit and find a more even server.

Been playing 4 years CS 1.6 and yes i used to rage a bit when i started playing it like 0 kills 15 deaths but thne i got on and didn't give up.

Even now (playing on highskilled servers) when i rage i get up from the table and go take the rage out in a punching bag next door :D
But after 5 mins i calm down and continiue playing normally :D
