do you pay attention to party political broadcasts?

No, I don't...simply because during them they promise you everything and then when they get into power they not only give you sod all, but empty your pockets into the bargain...politicans are basically liars! ;)

There's even more to be said about some politicians in NI :p

oh no I didn't!

No, I tend to use policy documents and papers/websites.

I tried this for a long time until finally realising that most parties policy documents are not worth the paper they are printed on. Parties are good at printing the theories of what the would do once they reach the upper echelons of power only to re-neg most of it when they get there and realise practical implementation of their fairy tale ideas is simply not possible.

The have an overt reliance the gullibility of the electorate to buy most of pish they peddle to get there and once there serve only themselves whilst lining the pockets and stomachs from the eternal tax payers trough.

The last general election and the last 3 sets of local elections have seen me simply go to the polling station and write exactly what I think of each party and their masquerade in plain simple Enlgish on the voting slip. I imagine many a counter have had a hearty chuckle at the amount of abuse that one voter can actual fit on to such a small piece of paper !!!!

To those who say its a wasted vote, i beg to differ, I am still going to the polling station and voicing my opinion, at least its not a case of simple voter apathy. At this set of local elections I think i will also add a line that they should consider sending my scrawling to the government and opposition so they can appreciate my colourful thoughts on their policies and deviancy.

No, I believe that the majority of politicians serve themselves, their friends, their party and then the public. I don't like people who ar quick t point out people mistakes and even quicker to hide their own.

A government will plod along doing its thing while the shadow benches sit their with their noses bent up saying "we can do it better" and then it just alternates and the circle of life is complete.

Was watching the SNP local election broadcast last night and had to laugh when they started playing a song with the lyrics "United we stand, divided we fall." I wonder if anyone actually thought about what they were trying to say or are they really that thick.

Playing Pink Floyd, gets my vote for sure.

I enjoy watching them, just to see who says what and I'm a weirdo who really enjoys politics and the game. Also nice to see the Conservatives stuff because I don't get any election bumpf in my area (even though I'm on their mailing list - but I suppose it's nice to see they aren't wasting money).

But no, I don't take them seriously or let them sway my decision.

I do often see the big BNP van driving around Glasgow around election time though, it's rather unmissable!
