Guys im thinking what reasons i need a landline for these days ?

I have quite a comprehensive mobile contract and a lot of calls are now made on Whatsapp/facebook , my home internet is Fibre from sky .

Any thoughts

The quality of mobile phone calls is still diabolical much of the time compared to a nice, crystal clear, lag-free chat landline to landline. I'd never use my mobile if I was ringing a call centre or anything important from home.

Yup, it’s effectively free with fibre connection. House is 18” thick rough stone walls, internal and external so mobile signal can’t be guaranteed even on wi-fi so having one rock solid reliable telephone line is useful. Also house alarm is connected.

And what Andrew above said.

got rid of my traditional landline from virgin 4 years ago , got a voipline tho as a back up no line rental and a paygo tarrif from sipgate spent a fiver in two years, handy for my mother tho too keep in touch she gets free calls to landlines.

Yes, because I won't use Virgin Media again due to their diabolical customer services, and there are no other FTTP providers in the area. No phone plugged into it though.

Yes as its bad enough trying to hear aged relatives on a decent land-line, let alone the signal hell dead spot I seem to live in. Trolling scam callers to waste their time is an added bonus.

No land-line phone
Broadband FTTC land-line

I don't think I could depend on mobile signal here to cut it.
Id need unlimited too. Which would be more expensive than my contact and land-line

Since moving out my parents 10 years ago I've never had a TV licence or landline phone
