DOA Period?

Hello, the motherboard I ordered states under warranty that the DOA (dead on arrival? I guess) is 28 days. I am approaching that now with my motherboard due to COVID and other supply issues with some of my other parts. What does this mean? Does it mean that if the motherboard is DOA after 28 days the warranty is through ASUS directly rather than third party seller or does it mean something else?

I can build the pc I am just waiting for aesthetic components custom cables etc. Would it be best to build it before this DOA period expires then add these other parts later?

Many Thanks

Yeah it means they’ll accept a board as DOA without fuss, however you’re still covered by statutory guarantees. Basically it might be a bit more fuss (you’d have to send the board in and they might replace rather than refund, but you won’t be hung out to dry.

Given the low failure rate for motherboards I wouldn’t worry; just build when you’re ready.
