does any one have the Accelero XTREME 4870X2 cooler?

Hi, Im REALLY tempted to buy this cooler! But i have a question! I have heard people say it largly exstends the card length, yet on the manafactures site it says the length is 295MM (which is a tiny little bit over the cards lenth with the stock cooler)
My case is the 'NZXT Lexa' if thats any help.

Hi

I have recently installed a Accelero XTREME 4870X2 and put the card into my antec 900 case, its a tad longer than the stock cooler, but when I get home I'll measure the cooler up for you.

Also, be aware that this cooler will blow air down into your case, compared to the stock cooler that will exhaust air out of the case. However, the end results as very impressive.

I have found a site that says 30cm -_- which would be JUST too long! I could maybe cut out a part of the chasse hwere the HD is stored i guess. :'( well i have a 80mm fan at the bottom of the tower which i can sort out so it blows out air (its a pretty powerufl one) which i can make go into a tube then right out my bedrooms window! with a 12cm fan pumping air into the window side right onto where the card will be so hope that should sort it out a bit! Atleats it wont sound like a motor bike reving when it gets above 49% lol

Yeah the stock cooler for me sounded like my car when it went above 50% and temps went up to 90oc as an extreme.

With this new cooler I find the noise almost undetectable even with all three fans at 100%. I played Modern Warfare 2 for an hour or so and the temps never went above 57oc. idle temps went as low as 36oc. Could probably be better if my sound card wasn't blocking one of the fans so much by being underneath it.

lol i cant belive how hot these things get -_- spesh with game like MW2! How does Mw2 run on the 4870x2 out of intrest?
