I have got my evga motherboard and in the next few days im going quad core.

However my evga 680i is rev 1. To get an RMA you need to have the reciept. Would anyone email in trust a reciept with your details editied out?

Sorry for having to ask this. Im stuffed overwise. (The motherboard was brought by me 2nd hand of a guy who brought it of Overclockers :D

I would get on to the person you bought it off. I assume all receipts come with a code that they can match the hardware to. And anyway you're just leaving someone else out in the cold without a receipt if they send it to you. And I believe you need an actual reason to RMA. They don't just hand them out because you want the next version of the motherboard.

EDIT: Also reduce the text size in your sig before it gets pulled.

Wrong, they do in this case. EVGA are offering a courtesy RMA for anyone wishing for the new revision of the board, due to the fixes implemented in it for quad cores etc.

Ah I see. It is EVGA after all I should have guessed.

But still if someone gives him their receipt they are losing their warranty basically.

However - if someone has a board that's been damaged and can't be warranty returned surely their receipt could be used. (I know it can be labelled as fraud - it's just a hypothetical statement) ;)

It's ridiculous really as the board is obviously of a certain age and as such would be well within EVGA's standard warranty period. They should just accept a Rev.1 replacement request on them really. They're getting the board back so you'd think that would be enough. :)

I'd just give it a go first, was rma'ing mine but spoke to someone in germany today (at evga) who said I could rma my board, and it'd take about a week. But, only a small percentage of rev 1 boards are playing up.

Only other diff with rev 2 is ps2 support. It was supposed to be quite poor with ps2 connections.

Kept my rev 1.

I only wanted the thing saying evga 680

Anyway no problem. Some other forum has given me the reciept (with no personal details).

Just got word from eVGA. My RMA has been initiated.

What should I do now? I have been given a RMA number
