Does Anyone here have SAD?

The sound of rain against the window at night is proper calming. Being outside in the rain feels awesome sometimes.

+ 1,000,000 :D

I also find the pitter-patter of rain against the windows strangely soothing. And sometimes being caught out in a powerful downpour can be quite an exhilarating experience; the force of the water striking your body and streaming off your face as you look up to the sky makes you feel so alive!

I'm not sure why, maybe I'm just strange lol

This website must be the worst fear for SAD.

Lol

haha reminds me of raindrops keep fallin on my head form butch cassidy and the sundance kid.

Just need to drink a large glass of man the **** up to be honest.
+1 I personally think its just another new label two put on what is in fact winter blues which everyone can get to varying levels at different times. Also winter blues is just to do with weather and dark nights and cold and is completely and totally different to proper clinical depression before anyone shouts at me :)

Don't think I really suffer from this but personally the kind of light can affect me. Nice warm looking yellow light, like on a sunny day is good, even if I'm inside but the light casts a nice warm glow inside, compared to a dingy grey light on an overcast day or something, makes me feel miserable lol.

I miss not seeing the daylight during the week but I don't get depressed. I love the rain and cold stormy weather. Nothing better than going home to my warm, dry house after work, having a hot drink putting on my comfy clothes.

I have the summer blues variant of SAD; can't stand bright weather at all. Rain and mist put a big smile on my face.

This.

Boo to summer. All that hot sticky weather, ugh. Just makes me horribly lethargic, can never be bothered to go outside when it's hot and bright.

Give me a big cosy jumper, falling leaves, mist, frost on a morning, and snow any day!

Yep, although tbh I don't really consider it a 'syndrome' of sorts, I thinks it's perfectly natural that many people feel down in the winter, I need sun, we all do to a certain extent, I've even considered moving to a warmer country purely for more sun, I always feel a lot better in the summer, at this time of year when the nights start drawing in it does get quite depressing, I'll eventually get used to it but I'm never really happy in the winter.

Honestly the warmth you feel from the sun on your skin just feels a-m-a-z-i-n-g, it's like the universe is giving you a hug.
