does anyone here think graphics just arnt that good and are over rated ?

Im guessing for the same reason we had multiple pages of peoples favourite games which was just started my a troll wanting people to visit their wow acount selling page. Its a debatable topic. OP is clearly a ******* but it doesnt stop people thinking about the topic

Very true. HL2 still looks great. Not as good as some modern games but when you think of the hardware requirements for each and the fact that it is 6 years old, it doesn't seem like a huge amount of progress has been made.

hl2 has poor lighting , shadows , flat textures etc though.

compare it to something like bfbc2 and it looks ancient.

most modern games suffer horribly from the next gen colour pallete though , give everything a green/grey tint wow this looks so next gen now..... :mad:

Looks utterly crap outside as well lol. Crysis has many serious "wow" moments when you play it on max everything as some of the post processing effects in the game are utterly amazing. Only downside to crysis is the extremely fast day and night cycle in game as the graphics only really look photorealistic at dusk or dawn in my opinion.

The tree's in BFBC2 have a lot to be desired to be fair. Stand out a mile as well compared to the detail of a lot of the other content.
