He would appear to be a long standing member here with over 75,000 posts.

Myself and a few others have purchased and paid for a few items from him that he had advertised in the Members Market. Said items were paid for back in December.

However, eightiescrooner has not been online going by a forums search, since the 28th December.

I'm a bit concerned not only as far as the purchases go, but also for eightiescrooner. I hope nothing "untoward" has happened to him.

Anyone know the guy, or know of him?.

A quick look at his profile, which claims 460 posts per day, would say he bought those 75,000. And I've never heard of him.

Also, his e-mail address is [email protected] and he is from Bognor Regis.

He has no trust rating.

However, as the items you bought were low value, I wouldn't expect any dodgy goings on, despite the above.

Especially given as he created this thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17818053 , which may explain the problem.

You could have researched this a bit more!

There not on sale that often. It's done to raise money for charity. Not that dangerous. It's obvious that 70k posts is not his own. Last one I set up which can be found here.

A bit of a long time to be completely offline though?. I know if I was selling items in the MM and had transactions pending I would certainly manage to find a way to get online somewhere to update any threads I had posted and sort things out.

To be honest, you are correct though, I'm not bothered about the small amount I outlayed for my purchase from the guy, just a bit *miffed* I've heard not a peep back after nearly a month.
