I still play it now and then.
It's still fun via online.
And cheap to buy. download the new 1.5patch. just make up a username. and go on line to play

your find a lot on people still play via online.

Many people still play it. Getting into it is easy, but getting good at it is a challenge. Just get the game, it's fun even if you suck xD.

I've just bought it, downloading very slowly but I don't think you can go wrong at this price.

If you do get it, I recommend taking a look at the Project Reality mod. It's a highly popular, team focused, more realistic version of BF2 with many added factions, vehicles and features. You can find more info at www.realitymod.com.

Stunning game, popularity is still pretty good, you'll find infantry only servers are always packed to the rafters if thats your thing.

Lots of mods for bf2, old but good game.
I dont reckon the newer battlefield games will allow for 64 players either so its still well worth having

The next BF game may well be one of the games of the year. This £4 spent will give you a good insight into what the games about.

I jumped at it for this price, been a long time since I played, mainly due to the bother of updating, downloading large patches that take years to install before moving onto the next etc... Now Steam will do it all for me (Though there wont be any more patches I doubt) so hopefully this will run well!

Loads of people still play, and I can still find a good game on the TV2 and Gotland servers etc.

Don't hesitate buying it at £3.74 off Steam.

Just bought it too. Any good servers? Also a good starting class? I play 2142 and assault is probably the best all-around class there, is there a similar one in bf2?

I'm tempted, really enjoyed BF2 when I used to play it back in 2005. Only thing is, my PC is on wi-fi and seems to create a bit of lag.

Although for £3.74, it probably wouldn't matter!

I already got it on Disc but bought it as it comes with the expansion packs and i can load the game onto Dads computer now for some LAN action

Medic has the best basic guns and more scope for points.
