In all seriousness, sex inlcudes pleasure. So sex isn't as pointless as you or your gf are making it out to be.

Why would you claim job seekers by not being able to conceive?
Yes I can see one reason why, depression affecting work, but I would say that would be years down the line of trying and would have to be a serious case of the blues.
Have you both been tested to make sure you're fertile?
I know of one couple that both were tested, both were fertile, had no reason why they shouldn't conceive. Paid for IVF, failed two or three times, and eventually had twins- I think naturally.
