Looking for something that can transmit music from my laptop to a speaker outside (on a 3.5mmsocket)

Used to have an ipod but water/moisture has led to the death of two so far so want to just take the music from my laptop inside.

Was thinking of something like bluetooth or radio similar to whats used for my phone in the car but tbh no idea what Im really looking for

If its iTunes, look at Airplay, latch an Airport Express to your speakers/hifi.

Not sure if replacing speakers entirely is your best option, but SONOS speakers are the dogs danglies. Cracking sound quality and they will stream anything from your home network, last.fm or spotify. Not cheap, but worth every penny for the slick design and great features.

What like the Play3? Yeh they're not bad for the price, but if OP already has a speaker/amp setup then an airport express is far cheaper...
