ive got this and manual does not state, does this motherboard support 4gb of non ecc ram? i know with older motherboards you had to use ecc to fill the slots, but this has got 2x dual channel..

tempted by 'this week only' to double up!

The Epox 9npa+ Ultra is based on the nForce 4 Ultra chipset - this means that you have an A64

As the Athlon 64 processors have inbuilt memory controllers the amount of memory supported is determined by the processor not the motherboard itself

The A64 processors do support 4 sticks of 1GB ram but you'll have to either run them at DDR333 if you've got an older core (Newcastle, Winchester, Clawhammer or Sledgehammer) or at DDR400, 2T for the newer cores (Venice, San Diego, Manchester or Toledo).

Depending on your motherboard there might be an option to enable 4G memory addressing - if so, you will need to enable this otherwise windows will only see 3.5GB
