Does the world cup fever annoy you?

It's quite annoying really. Between this and BB there is nowhere to hide :p I have no objection to people enjoying the world cup if thats your thing great. What is annoying is missing out on things I enjoy becuse they are bumped for the world cup. Yes it's only a few weeks, but imagine for a minute if it was the other way around and your footie (or something else you really enjoy) was being interrupted for something you had no interest in whatsoever for 4 weeks.

It is annoying that it is in your face all the time, I try and avoid it mostly but it's impossible to do all the time. Let's not be massively patronising either folks by telling people if maybe they gave it a go they would enjoy it. There are plenty things out there people don't enjoy that I do I am sure. Do I go round telling them that if they just gave it a go they might like it? No because I credit them with having views and interests of their own. Don't even get me started on people think they have rights to be off work and the football supporters being all friendly for a month part of the topic :p

All in all it is a bit annoying and I'll be glad when it's over. After all it could be worse..... it could be BB ;)

Im not much of a footy fan, and yeah, the excessive OMG WORLD CUP!!1!111 advertising does get on my nads a bit.

But at the mo, Im sitting here watching the match and getting quite into it :D

Turned into one of those know it alls who sits there being continually critical....must be the influence of my dad.

And ironically, I wish I was in England to catch some of the World Cup spirit because it seems a bit lacking round here :p
Want to swap during the next few weeks? :D

I hate football, but accept the rest of the country's obsession in good humour. If they want to spend their day watching a ball fly between two nets then fine... as long as they or their "fans" don't coz too much trouble.

i love the world cup but i hate the way everyone who has never watched or doesnt really follow football start talking about it like they know everything about itl.

like in my 6th form school all the girls are like "England played well bad 2nd half cos of Owen Hargreaves."i was thinking youve never actually seen him play.

It's situations like that, that I love. I was in Greece when they won the euros in 2004. Best atmosphere ever. Free drinks too. Cheers guys ;)

Yeah me too, mopeds in gangs up and down the main road all night till about 10am beeping their horns

I love football fever, however what i hate is that how everyone becomes an expert on football, when quite clearly they are talking out of their bum, otherwise everyhting is cool.
