Yep all works fine. However, you can get a Athlon II X4 for the same price as that X2.

Can I ask what its for though? I assume HTPC or just a bog standard PC for internet and Office?

Whats the budget as well?

That's a massive stretch tbh!

And its actually more than adequate for the parts he's got there :)

it is, but if something looks too cheap....

i like cheap builds. it's amazing what you can get for a few hundred quid now.

i have no experience of that case/psu, so if people say it's ok then go for it mate.:)

OP could get something a lot better for £300 - definitely worth saving up a bit longer!

Something like this will be more than adequate for COD series (bar perhaps MW2 and BO) on high settings and will be better than the Phenom for WoW.

MSI GeForce GTS 450 Cyclone 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
(£83.32) £99.98

Coolermaster Elite 430 Windowed Case - Black (with 500w Elite Power PSU)
(£54.16) £64.99

AMD Athlon II X3 Tri Core 445 3.10GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail
(£47.49) £56.99

Asus M4A78LT-M 760G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard
(£36.66) £43.99

OCZ Special OPS 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (OCZ3SOE1600LV4GK)
(£27.99) £33.59

Sub Total : £249.62
Shipping cost assumes delivery to UK Mainland with:
DPD Next Day Parcel
(This can be changed during checkout) Shipping : £10.00
VAT is being charged at 20.00% VAT : £51.92
Total : £311.54

You could save around £12 by getting a Athlon II X2, but X3 is considered the sweet spot for gaming atm :)

Also, shop around ;)

could save even more with the 756mb version of the 460. actually, that's a great deal for £100

depends what it will be used for though. the gpu listed by the op is usually used in htpc's i think?

I assume you mean 768mb?

And you do realise I've specced a GTS450 ;) GTX460 was out of budget.

Yep, gpu listed by OP is in HTPCs - but judging by this thread its for very low budget gaming.

OP, thought just occured to me - if you sold your DDR ram you could get a good £30 that way; the gfx card is worth around £20 at a push; if you could find a buyer you could get around £15-20 for the cpu & mobo.

Worth it to raise the extra money :)

I currently have a 250W IW-P250A3-1, will that be enough to support what I want to buy?
And then just buy a 30 Pound case on the side?

Afraid not. Patience is the best bet here, hang-on until you get around £300 then you can get a much much better PC. There is no point rushing now to get something that's very low spec and won't really do what you want :)

Alright, thanks for your help.
I also need to sell a bunch of Xbox games, get about 40 Pounds from them.

I don't want to sell these PC Parts until I am definitely sure that I am going to order what I hope to order.
