I'm buying in bits as money allows so this'll be built over the next few months. I'll get the motherboard and CPU last which assuming it's been released gives me the option of going for a devils canyon cpu. Ignoring any current or upcoming ocuk offers does this build look ok?

1 x TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (TXD38G2400HC10QDC01) £59.99

instead of the items in your spec, because
240gbssd > 120gb ssd and also kingston changed the nand supplier of the v300, and basically halved its performance
cheaper, faster ram. it's taller, but that doesnt matter as you're using an aio cooler
you'd want a modular psu. yes, the cxm isnt as good as the golden green, but it's modular

All looks good. Maybe you should go to a 240gb ssd to store your games on as this will increase the performance. If you don't want to you could try looking at one of the hybrid SSHD as it is faster than a normal HHD

i'd save cash and get an i5.
why not get a Z97 to be the most up to date. around the same prices.
i got a 2nd user 280x for 165 with warranty. maybe do that and save loads.

i7 is the way I want to go this time but thank you for the Z97 suggestion. I'll keep my eye out on 2nd hand 280x's.

I'll go with the crucial M500 then but I'll go for the smaller 120GB. Using it as an OS drive I don't need bigger. I currently had a 60GB SSD as an OS drive and whilst it all fits it hasn't got much space left.

The memory I'll have to look at again as it seems to depend what offers are on at the time.

Despite not being modular I'd like to stick with the superflower PSU. They seem to have such a good reputation.

As silent mentioned i5 instead of i7 I went in search of why and I'm now thinking maybe I should just go with a i5 4670k?

stulid, why the Antec Kuhler instead of the H100i?
