Does this house have potential?

Moving the kitchen downstairs could be very troublesome and costly.....on an already overpriced house?!
You'd also probably need to check the deeds. There may be clauses disallowing say a vent coming out the front of the house (dryer or combi boiler?), stuff like that.

I'd walk away mate.

70k? not even worth 1k, 2 bedrooms will always be the way to go + garden as a bonus. that way you attract the young couples that have kids or looking at kids or want a pet for example.

Hi all,

Been viewing houses for the last few weeks and viewed this one yesterday, even though it is new I think it has a bit of potential.

Pretty much what everyone else has said, with this addition:

The area isn't brilliant. That's another reason why it's not selling.... A bit like when they rebranded Cowgate as Moorview Park a few years back and made a mint on sales, but the same charva scum were around the area and brought it right back down.

Head over the river, over Newburn Bridge, and have a look at some of the terraces around Davison/Boyd Street. Canny little houses and although some might say the same as I've said above, I can assure it's not like that at all!

And don't mind the bitter Mackem either ;-)

1 bedroom/kitchenette/diningarea down stairs. 1 toilet upstairs. 1 spare toilet on roof.

It's nowhere near as bad as people are saying and I am a bit of a snob who enjoys excessive space. :D

I'm sure it could be a decent little one bedroom if done up nicely. It just looks ridiculous with that bed in the reception room.

There isn't a picture of the bedroom is there?

Have you viewed it?

I love this forum for a good honest second opinion :)

Did a viewing yesterday and the vendor seemed very keen for a sale and was already in the process of moving half their stuff out.

I agree it does sound a little odd im going to keep looking.

Thanks!
