For every garage like yours, jon, there are 100 others giving people like me the opinions I have. And as I repeatedly say, it's not really about ability to do the job. It's more about the entire experience and trusting them with something worth more than everything else in the garage put together (in the case of say a £15,000 350Z).

I know, it just narks me that people **** Indys off yet run to the main dealer when in a lot of cases they turn out worse!. Think you would have a bit of a head turn at our place though Fox, i was trying to think of stuff we've had in at the same time that couldn't be much further apart...

And i have to say that the price of the bits for that 911 shocked me, guy bought a window reg (sans motor) oil and air filters from the local dealer for a little over £100. We get charged more than that for Land Rover bits!!!

If I knew a place like yours near here, I'd probably use it. Problem is that most of the time its very hard to know who is who.

With the dealer you know they'll probably screw up but get there in the end.

What I feel about dealers is this. If everything goes bad, you can right a stinky letter to their UK HQ and feel fairly comfortable that it will eventually be resolved to your satisfaction. With indies, as good as some of them can be, there is no such luxury. I'd be more confident that I'd be told to get knotted that receive a satisfactory resolution.
